Standard Metrics believes in transparency about collection and use of your Information. This policy provides information about how and when Standard Metrics uses cookies and similar technologies like single-pixel gifs and web beacons on the domains operated by Standard Metrics and its corporate affiliates (collectively, the “Sites”) and our Services. Capitalized terms used in this policy but not defined have the meaning set forth in our Privacy Policy, which also includes additional details about the collection and use of your Information at Standard Metrics.

We may change this policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to the way we handle your Information in relation to cookies and similar technologies, we will let you know by posting an updated version of this policy on this website.

How To Control and Delete Cookies

1. Cookie Manager

You can change the settings for the cookies and other tracking technologies we use on the Sites and which we use in our Services at any time in our Cookie Manager, which you can find in the lower-left corner of any page on standardmetrics.io

2. Using Your Browser

In addition to the Cookie Manager, many of the cookies used on the Sites and our can be enabled or disabled through your browser. To disable cookies through your browser, follow the instructions usually located within the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menus in your browser. Please note that disabling a cookie or category of cookies does not delete the cookie from your browser unless manually completed through your browser function.

3. Cookies Set in the Past

Collection of your data from our analytics cookies can be deleted. If cookies are deleted, the information collected prior to the preference change may still be used.  However, we will stop using the disabled cookie to collect any further information from your user experience. For our marketing cookie, when a user opts out of tracking, a new cookie is placed to prevent users from being tracked.

Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser delete them or until they expire. Single-pixel gifs or “pixels” are small portions of code that we use as part of our Services. Web beacons are invisible picture files that we use as part of our Services.

Standard Metrics sets and accesses cookies on the Sites. In addition, Standard Metrics uses third party cookies, like Google Analytics.

Similarly, Standard Metrics’ partners may use cookies to provide us with information about your interactions with their services, but use of those third-party cookies would be subject to the service provider’s policies.
  • Performance, Analytics, and Research: These cookies help Standard Metrics learn how well the Sites and Services perform. Standard Metrics also uses cookies to understand, improve, and research products, features, and services, including to create logs and record when you access our Sites and Services from different devices, such as your work computer or your mobile device. Does Standard Metrics respond to Do Not Track Signals?

The Sites and Services do not collect Information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services. Therefore, “do not track” signals transmitted from web browsers do not apply to the Sites or Services, and Standard Metrics does not alter any data collection and use practices upon receipt of such a signal.

 

Emails

In addition to the cookies we use on the Sites and our Services, we also use tracking technologies in some emails and push notifications which enable us to understand whether you have opened the email and how you have interacted with it. If you have enabled images, cookies will be set on your device and will also be set if you click on any link within the email.

Functional Cookies

We use customer support tools (Intercom) and service providers (Cloudflare) that deploy cookies when users interact with the application. This cookie collects your name, which pages you visit on our website, how you arrived at our website, and your actions taken on Standard Metrics. Collected Information is used to evaluate the effectiveness of our products or to provide better products. From time to time, cookies set by third parties find their way into this “Functional Cookies” category, but Standard Metrics does not have control over those cookies and does not share your Information with those third parties.

Analytics Cookies
